Mom, I Wanna Donate To Sichuan Earthquake’s Victims!

The moment my little boy jumped in my car after school, he showed me immediately a form requesting for a donation to Sichuan earthquake’s victims. Of course, I would agree with him by doing so. But, I just wondered if this 8 year-old kid really knows what had happenned in Sichuan.

“Boy, why do you want to donate?”
“Mom, there’s a massive earthquake happenned in China, you know? A lot of people died, many are homeless, no water, no food… very pitiful! We must help them!”
“Do you have money?”
“Yes, just dig it out from my piggy bank. Luckily, I didn’t spend all my pocket money on junk food. If not, I won’t be able to help now…”

After counting… he only got RM53 from his piggy bank. That’s all he has!

“Mom, I’ll donate all to the victims….but… can I just keep RM1 for myself?”

My heart was really touched and brought tears to my eyes. This little money actually means a lot to him as I seldom give him pocket money to spend . He told me before that he wanted to save for his future education, his favorite toys/books, etc… Now, knowing that there are many people desperately in needs, the young kid is willing to give generously without thoughts of himself. What about us?

We shall be very grateful for having ability to help and support those unfortunates. Please take immediate action and do the necessary!
